metabolic typing

topic posted Wed, July 27, 2005 - 5:36 PM by  moon
I have recently become interested in the concepts behind metabolic typing as aform of diet. It promotes the idea that we are all unique and must know, through a series of questions and experiments, exactly what we are and are not sensitive to in what we eat. I have been doing research and am trying to avoid the cost of starting something with only the knewn experience of one friend. Does anyone know anything about this?

My friend was diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphoma and is trying pancreatin as a cure. THe precursor to this treatment is to totally clear the body of impurities using a metabolic typing diet. I am pleased to say that it has been very successful for him.

I'm just trying to lose weight and gain energy. I am open to any suggestions by the way.

Thanks
Moon

    hey moon,
I've never heard of this! Where di you find out about it. I wouldn't know about recommended diets for someone with non-hodgkins lymphoma, but for general weightloss, I'm your girl :o) Hell..if I can do it, anyone can!
I generally get my clients to fill in a food and fluid chart to begin with...drop me a line if you want me to go over some stuff with you - message me directly, there's no problem :o)
    Take care

Well Metabolic typing, as I understand it, has sort of said that all the different diets are right to a degree. THe mitigating factor being that as we are all individuals, these diets have varied results based on an individual metabolic response.

      homepages.paradise.net.nz/rwgul...ng.htm

This website gives a great overview of this diet (and many others if your interested).

THe rather lengthy questionaire establishes your basic type. Then a series of food experiments are done to pinpoint the foods that are best for you as an individual.

SO what's a food and fluids chart? is that a record of all you eat in a given period of time?

It's not a diet for the disease. It was a way of balancing his system so that it could, with the help of pancreatin, fight the disease.
